Dear Hoopers, Parents, & Carers,

First of all I’d like to thank you for your contribution in making Kangaroos the club that we are!  We are very proud of how far we have come and whart we have accomplished.

We have a number of casual vacancies on our committee and are seeking expressions of interest from people who can help shape the future direction of our club.  We love to have you join our small group of passionate volunteers!

Committee Vacancies

Secretary

Are you organised with an eye for detail?  We need a person to join our Committee as Secretary. This role involves:

• Organising, preparing and attending approximately 5 Committee meetings per year. 
• Organising, preparing and attending the KKBC AGM.
• Handle general club correspondence.
• Looking after the interests of our members

Treasurer

A key position that oversees the financial operations of the Kangaroos.  The role involves:

• oversight of our contracted accounts person 
• preparation of annual reports and financial reports for committee meetings, 
• preparation of the annual budget.
• Looking after the interests of our members

General Committee Member

Join our committee and help us to take our club to the next level

 The role involves:

• Attending approximately 5 committee meetings per year in addition to the AGM.
• Be part of formulating and implementing the Kangaroos strategy.
• Looking after the interests of our members

New Season Registration

We will be opening registration for the new season within the next two weeks.  Further communication will follow regarding this noting tha there will be an exclusive window for existing players to reregister before registrations are opened further.

KKBC Fees

Unfortunately we are faced with an increase in fees for the forthcoming season with increases in game fees and court hire costs having been advised to us. 

We have also had to contract out our accounts role in the absence of volunteers.

Every effort will be made to keep fees as low as possible.

PCYC Membership

The PCYC are offering free annual membership to all KKBC members.  This is required for all users of the PCYC and normally costs $20.  Please see the PCYC reception desk for details and mention that you are a Kangaroos Basketball Club member.
