Age Group Manager
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Age Group Manager holds a pivotal position as the primary liaison and coordination point for teams within their designated age group at KKBC, fostering positive and fun player experiences, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. This role not only supports teams but also contributes to the overall growth and success of the club.
The Age Group Manager should be aware of the club's goals and perform their duties in alignment with these goals.
By collaborating with Team Managers, Coaches, and the Club, the Age Group Manager contributes significantly to creating a positive experience for players and cultivating an inclusive and supportive club culture.
Responsibilities:

Team Formation: At the outset of each season, the Age Group Coordinator organises players into teams, ensuring equitable distribution.

Team Management: Collaborates with Team Managers and Coaches to ensure each team is adequately staffed and supported. Prevents teams from operating in isolation by fostering cohesion and unity.

Player Information: Ensures Team Managers and Coaches are well-informed about players within their teams. Confirms active player participation with Team Managers and assists in updating the Club's database as necessary.

Communication: Utilises the club's communication channels to establish and maintain regular contact with Team Managers and Coaches. Sharing club-related materials with Coaches, Team Managers, players, and parents as necessary. Serves as a conduit for disseminating important information.

Bylaws and Guidelines: Familiarises oneself with the Bylaws of the relevant Association to provide appropriate guidance to Team Managers and Coaches. Offers direction and support in navigating regulatory matters.

Compliance and Education: Encourages coaches and Team Managers to complete child protection courses and relevant coaching education programs.

Issue Reporting: Promptly reports any concerns, complaints, or safety issues to the KKBC President or Committee.

Accounts Support: Support Accounts team resolving any outstanding debt issues where required.
Guidelines for Age Management:

Training Oversight: Engages coaches to stay abreast of training effectiveness and attendance. Maintain focus on club objectives and player development. Manages training time allocation and resolves any scheduling concerns.

Team Performance Review: Gathers insights into team performance during games. Identifies and communicates potential issues to the relevant parties.

Association Collaboration: Establishes effective connections with relevant contacts within the respective Association to enhance age group management.

Games and Training Coordination: Assists teams in setting up communication channels, educates them on accessing game schedules on the relevant Association website, and supports the team manager with the arrangement of fill-in players when needed. Ensures timely reporting of forfeits and player information updates to the relevant Association

Youth Coach Support: Supports coaches under 18 years old, ensuring adequate mentorship and Team Manager presence during games and training. Ensures compliance with Working with Children Check (WWCC) requirements.

Team Uniforms: Guides Team Managers in the uniform ordering process, directing players to the Uniform Coordinator for loan jerseys. Oversees the return of club-owned jerseys.

Representing the Club:

Serve as an ambassador of KKBC, being a positive advocate for the club and directing concerns or issues about your team or the competition to the President or Committee for resolution.
General Guidelines:

Maintain a valid Working With Children Check

Maintain BNSW volunteer registration.

Complete PLAY BY THE RULES Child Protection and Safeguarding Course

Keep in communication with Team Managers and the Club.

Report concerns to KKBC Committee promptly.
