Mission Statement
To develop and grow youth and senior basketball in our region and make it easier for more people to play basketball.
Core Values
Respect: Valuing everyone and the game through positive behaviour, fair play, good sportsmanship, accepting decisions and keeping the spirit of the game above winning.
Inclusivity: Welcoming players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
Community: Building and fostering connections within the Upper North shore.
Enjoyment: Striving for a fun and nurturing environment for all players and families.
Teamwork: Encouraging collaboration on and off the court.
History
Kuringgai Kangaroos Basketball Club (KKBC) was established in 2015 as a grass roots basketball club catering to basketballers in Sydney's Upper North shore.
About
Kuringgai Kangaroos Basketball Club (KKBC) is a not-for-profit Community Sporting Association that provides people in Sydneys Northern Suburbs the opportunity to play basketball.
The club enters teams in competitions run by the Hornsby Kuringgai Basketball Association (HKBA Spiders), Northern Suburbs Basketball Association (Norths Bears), & Inner West Bulls Basketball Association in association with Basketball NSW.
All of our teams train at indoor venues.
If you are a player looking for a team, a team looking for some players, or simply passionate about grass roots basketball we would love to hear from you.
A new approach to training for Kangaroos Under 8's through to Under 14's.
Commencing Season 2 2026 for age groups from under 8's through to under 14's, we will move to age-group based skills sessions. There will be multiple sessions available for each age group across Saturday and Sunday afternoons, allowing families to choose a session time that best suits them.
Age groups from under 16’s through to seniors will continue to have individual team based training sessions.
